SEE WHY YOUR MIXES
DON’T SOUND LIKE
YOUR REFERENCES.

Örbitone compares your mix against the tracks you’re referencing — loudness, frequency balance, dynamics, stereo — and shows you exactly where they differ.

YOU’VE A/B’D IT A HUNDRED TIMES.
YOU STILL CAN’T HEAR WHAT’S DIFFERENT.

Referencing by ear tells you something’s off — not what. More plugins don’t answer that question. Data does.

How it works

YOUR MIX. THE REFERENCE.
THE DELTA.

01

Drop in references

Load 3–5 tracks you’re mixing toward. Örbitone learns what "right" sounds like for this session.

02

Drop in your mix

Add your work-in-progress. Analysis runs locally, in seconds — nothing ever leaves your browser.

03

Read the deltas

See exactly where you differ — loudness, frequency, dynamics — with a recommendation for each.

The metrics

SIX METRICS.
ONE VERDICT EACH.

Every metric compares directly against your references, not a generic target.

Integrated Loudness · LUFS

Overall perceived loudness. The primary measurement for loudness-matching across streaming platforms. Match your reference to ensure consistent playback volume.

True Peak · dBTP

Maximum peak level including inter-sample peaks. Keep below -1 dBTP to prevent distortion on playback systems.

Loudness Range · LU

How much loudness varies throughout your track. Higher values = more dynamic music. Compare with references to ensure appropriate dynamics for your genre.

Crest Factor · dB

Ratio between peak and average levels. Lower = more compressed and dense. Higher = more punchy transients. Adjust compression to match your references.

Stereo Correlation

Similarity between left and right channels. Near +1 = mono-compatible. Near 0 = wide stereo. Stay above 0.3 for club and mobile playback.

Spectral Centroid · Hz

The center of mass of your frequency spectrum. Higher = brighter sound. Lower = darker. Use EQ to adjust brightness to match your references.
